Christmas Card Competition

I’m delighted to announce the launch of my annual Christmas Card Competition, inviting pupils from schools across Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket to help design the card I’ll be sending out this festive season.

This year’s theme is snow globes. I’m encouraging young artists to capture the beauty of winter and the spirit of our community — whether that’s a familiar local scene, a snowy village, or a design that celebrates togetherness at this special time of year.

It’s a wonderful opportunity for children and young people to showcase their creativity and take part in a much-loved local tradition. The winning design will feature on my official Christmas card, which will be sent to hundreds of people — including the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Two runners-up will also have their designs featured inside the card.

Competition details:
• Theme: Snow Globes
• Size: A4 (portrait or landscape)
• Medium: Any – drawings, paintings, collages or mixed media are all welcome
• Deadline: Friday 14 November 2025
• Templates for the snow globe design are available to download - click here to download
