New Cancer Support Group Launches in Bury St Edmunds
It was great to see Bury St Edmunds’ first cancer support group launch at the Newbury Community Centre.
It is a welcoming, free space for anyone affected by cancer. The sessions are confidential and will run monthly, as a place to share views, find out about support, and meet new friends.
It is all thanks to a joint initiative between the Macmillan Information Centre at the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (WSFT), and local charity Cancer Support Suffolk. The support group came to fruition after they listened carefully to the views of service users and their loved ones.
The group will meet at The Newbury Community Centre, Charles Place, Bury St Edmunds IP32 6TD, from 1:00pm to 3.00pm, on the first Monday of every month, except bank holidays. It is open to people over 18 years of age.
