New Year, New Bridge and Discounted Rail Travel!

Having closely monitored progress and pushed for repairs to be completed swiftly, I am delighted that the new footbridge at Stowmarket station has been successfully installed and is now undergoing testing to ensure it is safe and operational before opening to the public. This is the first-of-its-kind accessible "AVA" footbridge and will provide step-free access with integrated lifts. The bridge should be open to the public by Easter and I will continue to keep a close eye to ensure the timetable doesn’t slip.

In more good news for commuters, the newly-launched Great British Rail is currently offering huge discounts on rail travel until the end of March. Commuters can currently travel from Stowmarket to London for as little as £5.50!
