Rail Fares Frozen!

For the first time in 20 years, rail fares will be frozen in 2026. This will save some commuters more than £300, a welcome change for those who rely on our railways. The benefits of this knows no bounds: helping families manage their budgets better, supporting growth, keeping travel affordable, and encouraging more people back onto trains after years of fare hikes. By applying across regulated fares, the measure aims to reduce the ‘postcode lottery’ of travel costs.

Our railways are integral they connect communities, drive economic growth, reduce congestion, and provide affordable, sustainable travel options. They are not just about transport - they shape access to jobs, healthcare, education, and social opportunities.
