Weekly Update

Here’s a brief overview of some of the things I have been doing this week across the constituency and in Parliament!

Constituency

  • Held a constituency surgery in Bury St Edmunds.

  • Met with Ewen Cameron at West Suffolk Hospital to discuss a range of topics including the new hospital, audiology, rehabilitation and waiting times for surgery.

  • Attended the enthronement of Dr Joanne Grenfell, the new Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich.

Parliament

  • Met with Lord Hendy, Transport Minister, to discuss the Ely/Haughley junction, frequency of services and the need for a footbridge in Thurston.

  • Raised a question in the House on humanitarian access to Gaza, following the announcement that 37 aid organisations have been banned.

  • Spoke in the Home Affairs Select Committee regarding AI and the spread of antisemitism.
