Meeting Some Of Our Bright Young Minds

I had the pleasure of visiting Abbots Hall Primary Academy last week, where I met students across all year groups who were attentive and showed great passion.

Visiting schools is certainly one of the biggest highlights of this job. Engaging with young minds is always insightful and often comes with many laughs too. It is clear that this school is nurturing not only academic excellence but also kindness, curiosity, and confidence.

I was very impressed by the students’ ideas for new laws, from banning plastics to tackling littering. Some of their other suggestions might be a little harder to achieve… like a three-day school week or capping the price of a Freddo!

Thank you to everyone at Abbots Hall for the warm welcome. Visits like these are a brilliant confirmation as to why investing in education is investing in the future of Britain!
