A New Chapter for West Suffolk Hospital
I’m absolutely delighted to share that funding has now been confirmed for the new West Suffolk Hospital.
This is a transformative moment for healthcare in our area — and one that’s been a long time coming.
After years of delays and broken promises, Labour is delivering where others failed. This investment isn’t just bricks and mortar; it’s a commitment to modern, high-quality care for patients across Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket and beyond.
We all know how much pressure our NHS is under. A new hospital means better facilities, more capacity, and a safer, more efficient environment for both patients and staff. It means care closer to home, shorter waiting times, and peace of mind for families.
This is what our community needs — and what it deserves.
Thank you to everyone who has campaigned, spoken out, and never given up. I’ll continue working hard to ensure the new hospital delivers for all of us — and that West Suffolk becomes a national example of what investing in the NHS can achieve.
