Weekly Update
Here’s a brief overview of some of the things I have been doing this week across the constituency and in Parliament!
Constituency
Met with Ed Garratt, chief Executive of Suffolk and North East Essex ICB, to discuss audiology services, emergency and routine dental care, and access to General Practice.
Met with students at Thurston Community College to discuss a range of issues, including social media access.
Parliament
Travelled to Manchester with colleagues from the Home Affairs Select Committee to learn more about how football matches are policed.
Spoke in a debate of medical training, highlighting bottlenecks in postgraduate posts, the need to prioritise UK medical graduates, and calling for expanded training capacity to secure the future of the NHS.
Opened a debate for Holocaust Memorial Day.
