Here’s a brief overview of some of the things I have been doing this week across the constituency and in Parliament!

Constituency

  • Held a Meet Your MP event at The Brewers in Rattlesden. Discussed a range of issues including rural transport, proportional representation and mobile phones in schools.

  • Met with volunteers at the Community Shop in Rattlesden to celebrate their 30th anniversary and thank them for their tireless service to the local community.

Parliament

  • Asked the Prime Minister at PMQs about the risks that insurance-based healthcare proposals could pose to the future of the NHS.

  • Spoke in a Westminster Hall debate on the rising cost of heating oil, highlighting the impact on off-grid rural households and calling for both immediate support and long-term solutions.

  • Raised concerns about church funding changes and sought clarity on the new renewal fund.
