Weekly Update - 08/03/2026

Here’s a brief overview of some of the things I have been doing this week across the constituency and in Parliament!

Constituency

• Met with Andy Mellen, Leader of Mid Suffolk Council, about local government reorganisation. Also discussed how litter can be tackled on the roadside.

• Met the CEO of Eastern Education Group to discuss new SEND provision, school building and student transport.

• Spoke with Royal Mail leaders about sorting the issue of parking on Skyliner Way.

Parliament

• Spoke out against settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank.

• Asked the Chancellor about the issue of student loans and the very high interest rates.

• Spoke in a debate on the funding of palliative care and in support of St Nicholas Hospice.

• Spoke in support of the bravery of the USA service men and women, including those here in Suffolk.
