Young Carers - Intervention in Parliament

Since becoming your MP, I have visited schools across Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket and have been struck by the number of young carers I have met. Too many children are quietly balancing their education with significant caring responsibilities at home, often without the recognition or support they need.

During the Health and Social Care Bill Committee, I highlighted the vital role young carers play and the importance of ensuring they are identified early and given the support they deserve to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
